What is a 60 m³/h concrete batching plant?

A 60 m³/h concrete batching plant can produce up to 60 cubic metres of fresh concrete per hour in theory. It is the most common entry capacity for ready-mix production and suits precast factories, contractors producing their own concrete, small and medium ready-mix companies and remote job sites. Which type of plant?

• Compact plant: small footprint, modules shipped on standard trucks; ideal for tight sites and precast plants.
• Mobile plant: mounted on a wheeled chassis for road and infrastructure jobs that move often.

Capacity and mixer

60 m³/h comes from a 1 m³ batch with a 60-second cycle, or 60 batches per hour. A twin-shaft mixer suits ready-mix production, while a planetary mixer suits precast and coloured concrete, like the 1 m³ planetary mixer we installed in Eskişehir.

Daily output and truck mixers

Real output is lower than theoretical. For example, an average of 45 m³/h over a 10-hour day gives about 450 m³ of concrete and uses roughly 135–180 t of cement. At full output with 10 m³ trucks and a 1.5-hour round trip you need (60 ÷ 10) × 1.5 = 9 truck mixers. See our capacity calculation guide for the details.
