200 m³/h Concrete Batching Plant

What is a 200 m³/h concrete batching plant?

A 200 m³/h concrete batching plant can produce up to 200 cubic metres of concrete per hour in theory. It is built for large ready-mix plants and for projects with heavy pours such as dams, ports, airports and motorways. At this capacity the plant is almost always a stationary plant on reinforced-concrete foundations; the 200 m³ stationary plant we installed in Saudi Arabia is an example.

Capacity and mixer

200 m³/h needs a large twin-shaft mixer. For example, a 4 m³ batch with a 72-second cycle gives 50 batches per hour: 4 × 50 = 200 m³/h. Some plants use two separate production lines instead of one large mixer, so one line keeps producing while the other is under maintenance.

Materials, silos and logistics

• About 360–380 t of aggregate and 60–80 t of cement per hour at full output, which calls for large multi-compartment aggregate bins and strong loaders.
• Several high-capacity cement silos for different cement types and fly ash.
• (200 ÷ 10) × 1.5 = 30 truck mixers at full output with 10 m³ trucks and a 1.5-hour round trip, so loading lanes and traffic flow must be part of the layout.
• Chilled water or ice in hot climates, covered conveyors and heating in cold climates.
• A concrete recycling unit where dozens of trucks are washed every day.
