120 m³/h Concrete Batching Plant

What is a 120 m³/h concrete batching plant?

A 120 m³/h concrete batching plant can produce up to 120 cubic metres of fresh concrete per hour in theory. It is the capacity most often chosen by medium and large ready-mix producers and by large projects such as motorways, bridges, dams and airports. Vettertech designs and manufactures 120 m³/h plants at its factory in Ankara, Türkiye, and installs them in Türkiye and abroad.

How the capacity is reached

Theoretical output is batch volume multiplied by batches per hour. A mixer with a 2 m³ compacted batch and a 60-second cycle makes 60 batches an hour: 2 × 60 = 120 m³/h. If the cycle grows to 75 seconds, the same mixer gives only 96 m³/h, so weighing must run in parallel with mixing. A twin-shaft mixer is the usual choice at this capacity.

Mobile or stationary?

Materials and truck mixers

One cubic metre of concrete needs about 1.8–1.9 t of aggregate and 300–400 kg of cement, so a 120 m³/h plant at full output uses about 216–228 t of aggregate and 36–48 t of cement per hour. With 10 m³ truck mixers and a 1.5-hour round trip, full output needs (120 ÷ 10) × 1.5 = 18 trucks. See our capacity calculation guide.
